Ronya is our specialist domestic broker and is responsible for our clients’ House, Contents and Car insurance portfolios. Ronya brings over 10 years of continuous domestic insurance involvement with two large direct insurers.
Outside the office, Ronya and her husband Wayne spend their free time driving their classic 1965 VW Kombi Camper van between choice beaches and VW club meetings. Proving insurance isn’t necessarily a policy contract, Ronya’s other passion just happens to be long distance running (!) and she’s proudly completed several ultra-marathons.
Processing Team Leader
Andrea brings to MJIB an extensive background in office administration and competent data processing skills. She is in charge of producing all our documentation and her calm and relaxed nature is the perfect tonic in our open-plan office.
With two children having flown the coop, Andrea likes to spend time with her husband Eddie, reading, gardening, keeping fit at the gym. Andrea’s glass is always half full and she is always wearing a smile that makes everyone feel great!
Mary brings an enviable skill set of workplace Legal and Accounting knowledge. Together with Andrea, they are the engine room of the business and are responsible for producing all documentation.
Clearly Mary enjoys being challenged – and this is best witnessed in being a proud mother to five! Just like her husband Mike, hockey is her passion and she’s equally handy with the stick in her hand as she is in administering the sport locally.
Possibly mimicking a bird of prey from his native Canada, clearly Nolan is slowly making his way south and has recently made Taupo his home after years of living in Auckland.
Nolan has worked in the Insurance Industry in both his homeland and New Zealand since the early 1990’s, bringing to the role a wealth of knowledge and experience. A very personable bloke, he will be there to help you and assist you throughout the claims process, ensuring you the best possible outcome and claims experience.
In his spare time Nolan enjoys reading a good book in front of the fire (plenty of those in Taupo Nolan!) and together with his wife Georgina taking a nice walk along the lake front, bush walks, or just checking out one of the many local eateries in Taupo.
Reception / Administration
Paulette is the lovely and cheerful lady that first greets you when you call us or pop into our office.
Proudly demonstrating a multi-talented skill set honed from years of small business administration, when not handling first line reception duties, she also complements our processing team responsible for producing all our documentation.
Tired of Australia’s miserable weather, Paulette and Grant were wooed by Taupo’s tropical climate and have recently made home here in the Central Plateau. Together they are both proud parents and grandparents, and not surprisingly family plays a large part of her life. Helping others is part of Paulette’s DNA and she is actively involved fundraising for the Taupo Coastguard.
Financial Adviser (FSP 1000163)
Warren brings 20 years of Insurance Industry experience to MJIB. Originally a lad from the city of sails, he has previously held various broking roles with both global and indigenous broking companies within NZ.
Warren’s approachable personality, with a touch of dry humour, has brought him many lasting business relationships. He enjoys dealing with people from varying backgrounds and industries which keeps him constantly learning and enables him to see things from a client’s perspective.
A family man with two young boys, Warren is heavily involved in football, coaching representative teams. In his spare time, when he isn’t out on the water or on the footy field, he is the lead guitarist in a local Taupo covers band!
As a wee bairn living in the small Scottish town of Balloch, Karen was whisked away to the warmer climates of New Zealand. Growing up and attending university In Auckland, Karen worked for two blue-chip Insurance companies in both domestic and commercial roles.
Growing tired of the endless Auckland traffic, Karen also discovered that Tauranga’s traffic didn’t provide the relief either, and she eventually parked up in Taupo (ever tried to find a car park in Taupo over Christmas Karen?!). She is a huge animal lover and can usually be found by the lake with her two dogs, and getting in her ‘girl-racer’ car to explore new parts of the country off the beaten track.
Karen has a Bachelor of Arts in English literature degree from Auckland University.
